Default flowtech cutout

is there any danger to driving day to day with the cutout open? or should u only use the cutout at the tracks

you'll be ok ...as you browse the boards more you'll realize how many run around with open cutouts

get an electric one from QTP ( http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/ ) ..you can go from extremely loud to stock quiet by the flip of a switch..that way you avoid trouble with cops neighbors or just depending on your mood.. i love my cutout..one of the best mod i ever did

i agree, the cutout is an excellent mod. i never cap it.

I would think the only thing you would have to worry about running with it open all the time is getting a ticket for it being to loud.

Isn't it that the exhaust piping take-off heat, like a heat exchanger for the heads?
So running with open headers or custouts could get your heads to reach higher temps?
Not sure if this is also for the LS1 but it has been for a old 350.
anyone?
