How Hot does the intake manifold get?

I am going to have my intake professional painted and airbrush some flames on it, will regular auto paint work or do I need high temp paint

You can put your hand on it while at full operating temperature.

So the top at least doesn't get very hot at all.

Heat soak is a non-issue due to the composite materials of the intake. Nice work GM.

One of the better things GM did for theses cars (window motors, clutches, rear ends)
