Quick question!! Hey I have a 98 Trans am.. Just bought it about a 2 months ago. Awesome car. Just recently I noticed a squeaking sound coming from under my hood. It is really annoying and I was just wondering what you guys think it might be?? It seems when i rev the car the sound gets louder. You think it might be a pulley or maybe the belt?? Any thoughts would help!

Most likely you need a new serpentine belt.
If you don't know if/when all the maintenance has been done on it, it would be a good idea to change the belt anyway, among other items.

SO I went to autozone and picked up a new belt and a tensioner pulley. First I changed the tensioner and the squeak is gone. It was the tensioner. I threw the belt on anyway because I figured Ill need one soon
