ws6 vs srt 4?
There's a kid in my town with an 04 srt 4 that has catback exhaust. My car is a 2000 ws6 with headers off road y pipe, slp loudmouth and a lid that has had a custom tune done. The kid with the srt 4 wants to get a boost controller before he races me. I am assuming he will turn the boost up to around 21-22 psi. If we both have passengers and have similar driving abilities, do I have anything to worry about?

Alright I was just curious because this might be the first race I try to race for some cash. Still a little undecided on that though. Thanks for the info!

It wont hook up from a dig if he launchs like he means it. Probly does well on the top end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoYSSaKRiCA both guys are my buddys the formula is just a bolt on car with weight reduction at that time. The srt4 is fully built with a big turbo and you can see he starts to pull up top but the 1/4 was over. the srt 4 was crazy from like a useless 60 mph roll and still spun.

It all depends I had a stage 2 that would keep up with a cam ls1 all day but it was 23 lbs bfmic custom tune bigger injectors everything, plus if he only has stg 1 injectors he can't boost much past 18 without goin slightly lean unless he is tuned for it, my 2cents only way it's close if it's a sleeper with full bolt ons and hes a he'll of a driver don't mess up and you'll walk him

My buddies cars neon is full bolt ons with stg 1 injectors, camaro is bolts ons w/ trex cam at the time, be careful anything can happen

yeah it isn't full bolt ons yet. Just a catback exhaust. He is going to get an up/down pipe and header in the next couple months. But for now it's just gonna be catback with a boost controller. my buddy with a full exhaust and 3.42 rear lt1 auto lost to the srt 4 by 2 cars from a 45 roll. But my friends lt1 also only ran a 15.1..... soo i think I should be alright. Plus from a roll I don't know if he will brake boost it or not.

Yeah it all just depends on the driver, with my set up and 235/60/15 g-force drag radials and a stock clutch I pulled an 8.49 1/8 with a crappy 2.02 60 time nukes em thru second

wow man you really left him hard and with that 125 you woulda been around 400 bhp. And I think my car is in the 370-380 range. I'm feeling more comfortable about this race now
