Dont do it. it doesnt do anything these cars dont have chips this isnt the 80s, If you want a good deal look at Frost mail order tuning. even better a dyno tune from someone local to you.

Chips are better used for trucks and Turbo D's, what they claim is false.

Agreed your gonna have to go with a mail order tune either from Frost or Texas Speed Ive heard great things about both of their mail order tunes or a dyno tune from a speed shop local to you. On a side note about the use of chips in trucks I tried a SuperChips programmer on my 05 Z71 and it didnt do anything at all there is no difference from stock.

Exactly, on the Dyno there are many measurments + a real Wide Band o2 that help dial in the combo thats on the car. MOST LS1's do not need a dyno tun until you change the airflow in a major way.

Example for me was on my 2002. Adding a SLP Lid, Dynatech headers with Catted Y and a Corsa. These 3 items were showing a lean condition and pulling timing. The Dyno tune gained a healthy 25 over stock and the car ran a great deal better. I then drove the car, noticed some driveability quirks and the shop that did the work cleaned it up and fine ever since.

Unless you can do it yourself, then pay someone who knows what they are doing and verify the car is running right.

Yes we can. Simply put, those claims are a fabrication. Don't believe it.

Like everyone else said; just say no to chips. Pretty much whenever you hear chip + LS1 in the same sentence = retard talking.

I have an 08 impala SS, K&N CAI and will be putting on Magnaflow catback exhaust kit... i'm nervous of messing around with a HP tuner, and would prefer a programmer with some presets. Is there anything out there worth buying?

(not really interested in a dyno tune, as i want to be able to reverse all programming if i need to do a long trip and save on fuel)

Not really looking for HP, but that would be nice. More interested in adjusting shift points.
