Default Anyone ever try a "Pypesmouth?"

I'm in the process of swapping a different muffler in for my LM1, and I'm trying to decide what one to go with. I'm leaning towards the Borla XR1, but I just came across the Pypes M-80 round case muffler. It is a 3" in/out, 4" case and it is 14" long, so I'm sure it would be able to swap in relatively easily like the other bullet mufflers. Just curious to see if anyone has done this, or has any experience with the Pypes M-80.

Here is a link to the muffler:

when i went through the LT, O/R y-pipe, LM1 delimma a few years back i got a 3" moroso spiral flow muffler to go in place. The painted ones are bad quality and rust fast, but they sound freaking great. I think they now make a stainless one or something that wont rust as fast. its basically like a 1-1.5" pipe with a flowing spiral around it. It really gave me the sound i wanted out of the car. Ive seen more people running them since i did, im sure i was the first to do it on a lt, o/r y-pipe, LM1 car though since it was literally like 6 years ago lol.

Its alot cheaper then a borla, you could get a painted one for cheap and try it out, if you dont like it it will rust apart anyways and then you can try again haha.

The stainless one is almost as much as the Borla. What did it sound like? (dumb question, i know. lol).

Just so everyone knows. The m80's are the spin off of borla stingers.

My car was stock except for the full exhaust, I used to have a sound clip but cant find it anymore. Befor it i would start it and 9 times out of 10 anyone standing behind it would jump. After the moroso spiral flow is was just a very deep sound, and at WOT it was very smooth. I personally loved the exhaust, it was quiet enough when it had to be, but when you got on it it had a great tone, i dont remember drone either.

I used to have a vid but its gone now i guess. I reccomend it since ive had it though, not sure how it would sound on a cammed car if yours is cammed. They shipped me 2 once so i gave one to my buddy for a v8 rx7, that thing sounded mean too! I say youtube moroso spiral flow and just start listening. It will tone the car down pretty good but it will make it sound alot deeper too. Youll also gain alot of low end driveability power back.

i had one of those magnaflow straight thru 4" case mufflers on my gxp and it sounded amazing, was just too loud for a DD, would be perfect for a camaro. i picked it up for like $50-60 on summit IIRC

Dunno why, my car drove better then it did befor it had them. They arnt a baffled muffler, but they arnt a glass pack, technically they are still straight through in one area lol.
