Notchy Feel?

Notchy Feel? Once in awhile I will get a notchy feel going into 2nd gear not real bad. Going into 3rd it worse and a lot more notchy feeling. Is it something a new clutch would fix or something I could adjust. I was going to take the transmission out and have it built up or traded (hopefully somewhere in Ohio) but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some thing else first. Any help would be great.

Since you are feeling it in 2nd and 3rd gear it is possible that the clutch is not disengauging well. A worn, warped or frayed clutch disk can cause this because it is dragging on the pressure plate and flywheel. If you are looking to have your trans gone through we aren't far from Ohio. Let me know if we can do anything for you.

Thanks sorry I didn't reply sooner Ive been really busy at work. I'm gonna order an ls7 clutch and flywheel and try that first. Hopefully it takes care of it so I don't have to take the transmission out again. So I'm holding you completely responsible if this doesn't fix the problem. Just Kidding. Thanks for the help and I will let you know as soon as I get time to install it.

ok I'll do some searching on here I remember reading about it some where and it seemed like a pain in the butt. I should have time friday or saturday to do that.

Re Honda ATF, I tried it a long time ago, made no difference in notchiness. I ended up using Royal Purple Syncromax, that did make a slight difference.
One way to test if you need to bleed it is to put the rear up on jackstands, then with the clutch in, start the engine and see if the wheels rotate at all.
