I got a 2000 chevy 1500 with a 4.3 V6 I want to put a 5.3 in it and was wondering how much it is to this swap?

Depends on how much you want to build it up? Like just swap a stock v8 in it and leave it at that or like a mild built 5.3?

Depends on what you want to use for it. You can prob get a used 5.3 and trans from a junk yard for $2500. I'd prob guess another $1000-2000 on top of that for other stuff too.

You'd prob be better off just selling yours and buying another truck with a 5.3 already in it. It's going to be cheaper too.
