I was asked to film a race by another member on here (FST SS) of him and his buddy's Cobra. The rain finally relented so we went out this morning and got it done.

About right.. he did leave little late on the last one it seemed. Cobra slept on second one.

Convertible and a passenger helped the camaro quite a bit as well. However added a little weight with the rear and still had cats.

Full bolt ons usually gives an ls1 1 1/2-2 car advantage on a bone stock 03.

Nice angles/edits!

Cobra was leaving on what would be the 4th honk, not the 3rd. Camaro gave him the hit on the last race to make up for that (even though he was really going at the correct time).

Thank ya. See above about the leaving late issue.

So the cobra owner can't count?

No, just think of where the 4th honk would be. Basically, he's going after the 3rd instead of on the 3rd. The Camaro was going upon hearing #3.

How much of an impact would have there been if the cobra was a coupe?

Please, for godsake's lets not start another war with the above question.

I just wanna have a friendly, intelligent discussion :D

It would have been like eliminating me when I was in the Cobra basically. I've heard they are about 150lbs heavier.

It's not your phone, the video turned out like poop. I think today's turned out better. Maybe I should clean the case for once. Might have hit a setting messing with it the other day though.

Cobras really are all over the map just like ls1's. I have seen stock cobras trap 112-114 but I have also seen them trap 106-108. So this guess would strickly be based off the weight difference. A coupe curbs at 3665 where a vert curbs a 3780. 115lb diff would have been around a 1 car diff maybe in the race shown.

In all honest none of the races were "fair" to either driver. Shifting the passenger back and fourth just gave the passengerless car the upper hand. Weight vs hp

At the end of the day, I'm still a bit surprised that the LS1 stood up to a car that is newer, and 400hp. Whether or not they're 390hp for real is something that should be discussed elsewhere, but based on the dyno's, and spening some serious time on svtp, I'd say they're at 400 +/- 10hp

Why? It is a modded car against a stock car.

Newer... And 400hp.

Why the hell does it matter if its 2 years newer or 2 years older than an ls1? It still weighs XXX heavier and has XX more Rwhp.

Full bolt ons should take a stock Cobra pretty easily.
