LS1 SS vs Cobra *daytime vids*
I was asked to film a race by another member on here (FST SS) of him and his buddy's Cobra. The rain finally relented so we went out this morning and got it done.

Dave & Paul, I had a great time and it was good to meet you both!

About right.. he did leave little late on the last one it seemed. Cobra slept on second one.
Convertible and a passenger helped the camaro quite a bit as well. However added a little weight with the rear and still had cats.
Full bolt ons usually gives an ls1 1 1/2-2 car advantage on a bone stock 03.
Nice angles/edits!

How much of an impact would have there been if the cobra was a coupe?
Please, for godsake's lets not start another war with the above question.
I just wanna have a friendly, intelligent discussion

Cobras really are all over the map just like ls1's. I have seen stock cobras trap 112-114 but I have also seen them trap 106-108. So this guess would strickly be based off the weight difference. A coupe curbs at 3665 where a vert curbs a 3780. 115lb diff would have been around a 1 car diff maybe in the race shown.
In all honest none of the races were "fair" to either driver. Shifting the passenger back and fourth just gave the passengerless car the upper hand. Weight vs hp

At the end of the day, I'm still a bit surprised that the LS1 stood up to a car that is newer, and 400hp. Whether or not they're 390hp for real is something that should be discussed elsewhere, but based on the dyno's, and spening some serious time on svtp, I'd say they're at 400 +/- 10hp
