Is there a company out there that makes or sells stock spec small blocks. cause im looking for a 400 block that hasent been bored ar anything of that nature and cant find 1 anywhere that dosent need to worked over plz plz help me

Plz tell me there a ace that make the 400 block I've been lookin on the web for day and can't find a completely stock 400 block

Can't believe summit is ask 2600$ for a block and that was the cheapest one lol

Hell you can buy a real block like a Dart SHP all machined for 1850.00

For what its worth I have two 400 blocks that a cusotomer has brought in and both failed a sonic test, One clylinder in each block and they were under .130 he should be putting them on ebay if you want to roll the dice.

thing is im lookin to make around 600hp to the wheels and its gonna have 2 stages of nitrous 150 out of the gate and 300 on the other shot. so i guess im gonna have to bit the bullet and give dart a call and see what my budget can afford lol

600 hp and 450 worth of nitrous might be a little more than the SHP block can take. Definately more than a stock 400 should see being that the SHP block is stronger than a stock 400 block.
If I were you I'd look at the Little M. I saw a used one on YB just yesterday.

i just ran my budget figures and i have about 3500 maybe 4000 i can spend on a block cause i got my whole engine well every thing but the block from a buddy that is going with a different setup so i got a awesome deal that i cant pass up just dident wanna 3000$ on a bare block though lol

A place like Summit Racing will always be expensive, since they have the overhead of their ever-increasing building. There has to be a small li'l company somewhere online or even near you that you haven't discovered yet.

i hope so thats what im looking for a place like summit or jegs was my last resort. i would rather my money so to a small mom and pop sorta place then a big company.
