ls1/ t56 .08 machined off flywheel, shim?

ls1/ t56 .08 machined off flywheel, shim? I just had my 99ws6's flywheel resurfaced. The shop had to take roughly .08in off to get it good again. Is a shim needed or will the slave compensate?
