Old setup, that was a single 10, then went to 2 12"s in the same spot, just gotta find a box that will fit. Amp was in the empty spot next to where ttops went, held it down with velcro. Just a quick spur of the moment setup.

I'm looking at trying this, only a single 10 but I don't want to lose trunk space now that I have ttops. It gets good reviews also. Comes with amp and sub in one.

Check out this thread from a few months ago:

Alternative Sub location

My setup is in post #12 (pics in post #15). Sounds good, plenty loud, and still get t-top storage. Plus, when I autocross, it's really easy to just pull right out.

It really bumped, it pounds right off that back glass and to the front of the car, even running 2 12"s on a 1200w amp for almost 2 years, after a single 10 and single 12 for a year prior to that. Never had a problem with the glass, everyone seemed to think it would break it or something but 3 years with subs in that exact place and no problems. I know I kind of went redundant there, but wanted to make sure it came across clear, lol

Then I would do a 10" sub in a driver side stealth enclosure and put the amp on an amp rack. Both items are sold by Kee Audio.

That's a pretty slick set up, how hard was it to do?

I have absolutely 0 carpentry experience but I use ACAD daily at work so I took measurements and created a detailed drawing for the sub box. I adjusted the shape of the box until I had enough volume for the sub. I then bought a cheap table saw and went from there. The rack I just used a cardboard template for the top piece and it turned out pretty good.

The box could use some refining and considering I just blew the Polk sub I had in there, I may do it now.

This is my custom built sub, amp, and capacitor set up that I built for my car.

Yes my setup is in a convertible and not a t-top car. So you lose the t-top stand but could probably rest the tops over the top of the setup. I set my convertible top covers over the sub and amp all the time but the top covers are plastic for my car and not glass like your t-tops.
