Angeles Crest Part II - June 12, 2011
Back by popular demand.
Same time schedule as last time, only this time we'll send a spotter car up first to make sure the fuzz isn't busting people for no front plate. IF YOU HAVE A WALKIE TALKIE, BRING IT SO WE CAN COMMUNICATE AND HALF THE GROUP DOESN'T THINK THE ROAD IS CLOSED!
Here is the schedule:
The plan is to meet up at Vons in La Canada at 11:45a.m. The address is:
635 W Foothill Blvd
La Canada, CA 91011
We'll leave the lot at 12:30p.m.
Here is the new route.
After the drive we're heading to Fuddruckers at Ontario Mills for lunch. We should arrive between 3:00p.m. and 3:30p.m.
The road is freshly paved and the drive is incredible:
See you all Sunday!

Put a working "built" transmission in and a stock torque converter yesterday. It's alive! I'm in, pending review of my fuel budget.
EDIT: And work schedule...
Yeah. First run was a red light due to me not being familiar with the aftermarket converter it had (inched over the starting line when stalling it up). Trapped 103MPH that run. Figured OK, I just screwed up the launch from the stall and following redlight psyching me out. Ran again, did everything "right", got a .33x RT, but trapped 104MPH with a 13.5 ET . Decided that there was no point running it after that second run since I don't have HPTuners to log the data and figure out what was going on and/or retune it. The last time I was there I was trapping 108-110MPH, same weight, and with less mods.
Oh hell yes. Can't wait to see how well your car handles with that suspension setup.
