Default Do these #s seem low??

374rwhp, 331tq. I was hoping for closer to 400.

Got my car dyno'd and will be heading back this Friday to do some more touch ups on the tune. Just wondering if these numbers are about right or if there is something I need to check before taking it back?

00 SS, FLT lvl4 trans, 3400 stall, stock .323 gears, stock bottom end, stock heads, custom comp cam 236/232 .608/.595 110 lsa, ported FAST 90 intake, nw 90mm tb, bosch 36lb injectors, mti lid, jet hot long tubes, 3" Y, gutted cats, custom 3" catback.

It was a hot afternoon, upper 80's, altitude here is 5312. Ran it on Bridgestone Potenza's, 275/40/17's.

Yeah those numbers seem pretty low to me. What were the numbers before the mods ? Could be just a stingy dyno.

Take it to the track and test it SOTP.

Why are you using a reverse split cam?

Using the same cam with 242 exhaust duration would have helped you producing more power.

It is a Pat G spec'd cam. Idea behind it is power under the curve, not peak numbers. I know that sounds contradictory to what I was asking in the first place, I just thought it was a little on the low side. Specially on the torque.

I am not sure what kind of dyno. It's a dynojet. Has a lift to get the car off the ground then onto the rollers. Kind of nice, have huge fans to blow under the car.

The air here is crap too so that doesn't help.

I would run the car at a track if you really want to see the power its making. Auto's don't dyno well and dyno numbers are often not a good reflection of how well the car actually runs.

Go to the track and see what she will do.

My car only made 345/325 with the mods in my sig on a hot humid day. Dynos hate autos and from the looks of it I'm guessing those numbers were made with the converter unlocked?

You know, I am not sure on whether it was locked or unlocked. I will have to ask him when I go in Friday. He did tell me he didn't like locking up single disks on the dyno though, so maybe he didn't. This guy specializes in turbo cars and keeps trying to talk me into a set up.

The car actually runs very well. A gear change will probably do wonders. I would like to get it to the track a couple of times if I can ever get the time. I am always working when it is open. I did have a guy in a G8 gt want to race on the freeway, I was already at 70, kind of high for a roll, but what the heck. Spanked him pretty bad even at that speed.

oh and to fix a mistake from earlier, the cam wasn't spec'd by Pat G. My Bad. Easy to get confused with all the reading available on this site. It was a Pred Z cam spec'd for a friend of mine that was running stock internals, ls6 intake and midlengths.

Wrong cam and more than likely the converter was unlocked. Those numbers aren't bad. My old mild H/C setup made 380 unlocked, yet still trapped 119 at 3700lbs.

You've got a high stall torque converter - you don't need more power under the curve. That's for manual trans guys with inadequate gearing.

Put a dyno graph in my sig, didn't know any other way to put in on here.
Converter was unlocked, so I guess these numbers are pretty decent. Torque numbers just seem low to me. Oh well, she runs great.

It may be the wrong cam, but so far I like it. Great driveability and street manners. Sounds wicked as well.

It's terrible here. Everything I have ever driven up here seems to pick up hp just by getting out of town.
