Default th400 swap

hey guys i was wondering what i would need to convert my m6 to auto, because i jus blew my t56 so i figure a good time to upgrade... is it worth it? Or just stick to stick. any input is appreciated. Thanks

Depends on what you want to do with teh car. If you are big into drag racing and want to get serious about it and turn some good times then a TH400 is a good upgrade. However if you just like crusising in the car and rowing gears and having that kind of fun then a TH400 is probably not for you. Just have to ask yourself what you want from the car.

my car def sees more track than street miles. Which i would want an auto more consistant times. im just wondering what would be needed to swap over.

Yes the auto will be more consistent, will be faster, and will not break parts like a high horsepower manual will.

You would need :
TH400
TH400 torque converter or 60E converter with adapter plate
Trans crossmember
Driveshaft
Dipstick tube, either Lokar or Madman
New shifter or stock Auto shifter and would need to modify it.
Might want to get yourself a set of auto pedals too since you won't need the clutch pedal anymore.

I am sure there is more, these are the big items that I can remember from my swap but I was coming from a 60E to a TH400 so yours is a little bit more involved probably.
