Default CME upgrade

Does anyone know if anyone makes an upgrade to the cat-back on the stock 01-02 SS Camaro's. I want to upgrade my cat-back, but don't want to loose my dual oval tips, since they go with the rear valance. Any suggestions welcome. Or maybe, piece together a muffler and custom piping with the tips.

Thanks.

sorry, you're out of luck. you'll have to take it off and give it to me

haha jk i'm pretty sure all f-body catbacks will work with that, you might have to trim the pipes a little to allow for the 90* elbows that make it cme but other than that it should work

someone correct me if i'm wrong

You should be able to run ANY catback you'd like and just have the tips added. But If you wanted to get bigger tips, we sell a 3" as opposed to just the 2.5" you have.

Yeah, just take it to a good exhaust shop and have them install your 90's on your new cat-back.

If your looking for more flow out of another catback your won't find it. The dual/dual is one of the best flowing catbacks. As far as sound goes, ya it isn't the loudest..

Thanks for all the input everyone. I have thought about doing a cutout, but most in my area will not help with installation (don't know how to weld)....illegal in my state.

@Sommer86,
These are hot. Thanks for the link

I'm running CME on my 02 SS. My set up right now is SLP LT's with SLP high flow cats, 3" Y-pipe to LM1 cat back. Up over the axle to CME. Fits just fine. It's nice and tight. It's not for long tho I'm looking into true duals with my CME set up. Let me know if you have any questions.
