alternator HELP with carb setup

alternator HELP with carb setup I have the truck alternator with the letters P L I S stamped where the plug hooks up. I have a wire run from lug on back to batt+. My question which pin do I hook the 470ohm resistor wire to? Also do I just run that wire to a switched 12v ign source? Thanks for your help.

I believe it's supposed to go to whatever turns your ignition on. I attached it to the same wire that powers the MSD 6010.
