The Truetrac is a differential, it is a component of a rearend. I have information at the link here that might help you out. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Brute-Spe...nformation.htm Bob

i know it is a component of the rearend lol, i didnt mean that i was gonna get a whole new rear end but thanks for the link tho. i am goin to keep it a 7.5 inch but am gonna upgrade the differential, ring and pinion and axles. i dont intend on makin it a drag car so i really dont need a ford 9 inch and i dont really want ford parts on my chevy haha even tho they r the strongest rearends out there. i am goin to order the detroit truetrac but i wanted some feedback on it before i did tho

I wouldn't waste money on a stock rear. With that said, I'm running a Trutrac with no issues.

If you have an automatic transmission, you stand a chance of the 10 bolt holding up. If the car is a manual transmission, chances are you're going to waste all the money that you spend in upgrades to try to beef up the puny 10 bolt. That link I sent you explains why. If you do a search on here, you'll find plenty of links to guys who have tried to beef up the 10 bolt, only to have thrown all their money and hard work down the drain. Bob

Putting money into a 10-bolt in a 6 speed car is like flushing that money down the toilet, literally.
