Question power steering

quick ?, the oil on my power steering leaks from the top where the cap is. i checked the cap and it seems to be ok, and is thight. ive checked the oil level and its almost all the way to the top, its at that level when my car is hot or cold. can anyone tell me the cause of this and how to fix it.

I think this is a common issue. I also replaced the cap and it still gets oil residue on top. I recently deleted the factory power steering cooler, and installed an aftermarket cooler, which is supposed to help with the leak issue.

When the car is cold, the level should be at the "cold" mark on the dipstick. If its above that, you need to take fluid out. If it still overflows after that, you need to a complete flush of the fluid. It tends to act up with age. (Better cooling helps, but from my experience the age of the fluid is a bigger issue.)
