"fail safe " actually a good thermostat, you can get them from autozone with lower price.

Go to Autozone and special order a 160* T stat, note the manufacturer when you get is going to be, "Motorad." It is the exact same T-stat Hypertech sells for the LT1s. I would even venture to guess that is who makes that one as well.

Yub motorad the one that made fail safe also, but again if you going with 160 stat, on winter you might have problem warming the car up. I alway swap out back to stock for winter and 160 for summer.

I put a fail safe in my blazer, it's not a LT1 but it has been working for a couple of years so far.

about this, I just picked up a 160 tstat from autozone (in stock) for 17.99 and guess what? it has a nice big old Motorad stamp on it.

So final answer - scam
