I need a new seal for my rear differential and whille looking I found out abouth the TA rear differential performance cover. My question is it really worth it or should I just keep using my stock one?

They look nice. If you are concerned about actual performance, a better axle is what your after.

IMO they are worth every cent, 10 bolts are cheep and will last for a while if your not racing the car all the time. $150 for a braced cover and $400 for a 10 bolt or 3-4 grand for a good diff that can take drag racing....you pick.

I picked one up when I did mine for $125 shipped off an LS1tech member and it came with the ARP bearing hardware too. Looks great and will hopefully help support the 10 bolt for a while.

I do not know if the cover did any good or not but my 10 bolt lasted 76k ( still working when I went 9" ) with the cover and several other assists, I am A4/MT drag radials pulling 1.64 short time

I think it's worth the price for added reinforce if you're realistic about it's use. Just don't throw one on then add some sticky tires with 5K rpm clutch dumps and expect it not to blow up.

Its okay and will help but since your car is a stick, any abuse and your risk blowing the rear

Like he said, $1800ish if you go with a spool, $2400 is if you want to have a posi.
