Default cheapest clutch for 600rwhp???

What is the Cheapest, more dependable clutch for 600rwhp? My ram powergrip HD finally had enough at the track today on the bottle. I am getting married this september and I refuse to dip into my savings to get a new clutch....

so my other option is, save up some extra money on the side for a few weeks, and get a cheap one to get me by for the rest of the season.

I dont know **** about clutches to be honest, so any opinions would help. I would honestly not like to spend over $500 for a clutch at the moment. In the distant future, not a problem. Not this year tho.

thanks.

$500 for what you want is alot. Id save up for somthing good, or get a $500 clutch and not spray the car.

how was the ramHD? you happy with it?

yah I was happy with it. It had 50k on it. I bought the car with it in it. I learned how to drive standard on it. Countless hours of stop and go traffic down to myrtle beach for 3 years in a row with the ms3 cam, prolly atleast 30 dyno pulls, 9 bottles worth of 100 shot, and 1 bottle of 150's etc. It just had enough with the drag radials and nitrous at the track.

looking at the diamond stage 3.

can I get away with just the basic kit, or do I need the kit with the flywheel, throwout bearing, etc?

You really need the flywheel with the Stg 3, as it generates much more heat than the Stg2 or Stg 1. The billet flywheel is capable of handling the heat much better than the stock cast iron flywheel. If you go with a Stg 2, however, the stock flywheel will work just fine. Just get it resurfaced, and I can provide a shim with the clutch kit to compensate for the amount removed form the stock flywheel. This would definitely be your cheapest option. It's actually a really good quality clutch kit, not a 'cheap' one by any means. Currently, we are not running any specials, but I can throw in free shipping. Call the number below to place an order.

Thanks
Jason

IMO if your getting married, park the car and evalute. It sucks but your not making stock power either. OR at least, do not use the Nitrous.

check out the WOT section on shift. Videos are on there.

I was having nitrous problems. It wasnt working and I just about gave up and figured I would try it for the last time on one run. I armed it, came out and as soon as I hit 2nd gear I felt it. Shifted to 3rd, clutch slipped a little....ended up with 11.9 @ 121.89. That was on a 100 shot and a sleeping 60'. I was cutting 1.8-1.9 60's but would miss 2nd gear (no idea why, I never miss gears).

then I tried the 150 shot after and went 12.2 @ 127. 2nd and 3rd gear felt like I was blowing the tires off and not moving, but it was my clutch slipping. Finally it grabbed at the top of 3rd and all of 4th and thats why my trap was high.

stepped back down to a 100 shot to try to save my clutch, 12.0 @ 118. Clutch slipped all the way.

the car is away right now. It doesnt move. All the way home, I was in the slow lane slipping like crazy trying to get up hills and **** haha. 1st gear feels like neutral. Anything more then 1/4 throttle it wont move. SOunds/feels like a neutral drop.

would a stage 2 hold my power? I make 400rwhp all motor through a moser 12 bolt with 4.11's and 305 mt et streets. On a 100 shot, I make 517rwhp and on a 150, 600rwhp and 632rwtq. I have full suspension on the car as well. The car is mostly a street car with the occasional trip a few times of the year to the track.

the car currently has the ram powergrip clutch in it. I bought the car with it, and put almost 50k on it. It has been a great clutch and im surprised it lasted this long. It was in my car with bone stock power, to what it is now.
