shift kit capacity questions 4l60e
Hey guys, I have an rx7 with a lq4
it has a 4l60e the original owner was a trans mechanic...
it has a beast sun shield gear, vette servo, transgo stage 1 shift kit...
it shifts quite hard, works great... i asked him if he put the high rev kit in and he didn't, he said it's only on engines going over 5500 typically like...6000-7000 where it has trouble.
i found this out after i put rodbolts in, lol, so much for going for 6500 7000rpm
so, it's rated supposedly for 450 hp..
whats the difference between a 450 hp 4l60e, and the others ? it doesn't seem there are THAT many parts available..
which hard parts are different? is it just that it's a full manual vbody? is it the band and clutch pack? different pump? accumulator spring? *****?
i tried to look up as much info as i could but it kind of escapes me!
thanks!

Not that many parts available??? Compared to what?
I don't think you've spent much time looking if you can say that.
Have a look at the Transgo and Sonnax websites.
And have a look at Probuilt Automatics site.
There's way too many parts and ways to assemble them and they've all been listed already and can be found by a search.
