Default Mechanical oil gauge connected to oil sensor port?

How can I connect a mechanical oil gauge to the oil sensor gauge port in the rear part of the intake? I'm getting ready to install my engine and wanted to check if i have oil pressure before I put it back on the k-member and back in the car, it's on a stand now. Any help greatly appreciated.

Take an old oil pressure sensor and cut it off just above the hex. Then drill and tap with NPT threads, screw it into the block where it originally went. Pick your choice of mechanical or electrical guage, install and away you go.

are you talking about the port by the oil filter? I was thinking about putting a digital gage in. Can this be used as a full time reading? Just curious. sorry to thread jack...

No, we were talking about behind the intake toward the driver side, But yes you can use the port by the oil filter, just need to drill and tap it also.
