Default My new MWC set up

Haven't had time to post it up, but already have it in the car and rolling around on it. Pretty awesome so far!

Blew the 10bolt out in Sept.

Yes, thats a couple teeth still laying in the bottom. Ripped every tooth off the pinion, on street tires, on the street, with a clutch that I can barely get the car to move on... Stupid glass 10 bolts..

On to the goodies.

Fabricated 9" by Midwest Chassis & Performance ( MidwestChassis.com )
-3.89 Motive gears
-Wavetrac
-35 spline Strange axles
-3ch ABS
-Yukon Aluminum Center
-Backbrace
-Fill hole
-Watt's link
-Long torque arm
-Trans cross member
-I'm sure I'm forgetting something...

Feels pretty good so far. Clutch soon to come!

Looks great, how much did all of that run you, if you don't mind me asking?

Somewhere around there lol.

Only have about 150 miles in it, but the clutch slips if you even try to accelerate in 6th, or give it any good passing acceleration in lower gears. I figure it's easier on the gears this way lol, but I'm still being easy on it.

Ordered a Monster 3, Quicktime bell, and a Tick M/C

Haven't had an iron one to compare it to, but it seems to be a really nice piece...

I originally ordered Yukon 3.89, but they ran out.

I had Richmond 4.10s in the 10 bolt, but was going through the traps in the 1/4 at 6400 (redline at 6500), so I figure if I launch harder on some slicks I'll pick up speed a little sooner since I can throw some real tires and not spin through the 300, I'd run out of gear with the 4.10s.

Touch of gear whine it seems on decel, but barely noticable. May not even be the gears.. They aren't broken in at all.

Install was pretty simple. I had never replaced a rear before and it was pretty simple.

Pointers:

-Install torque arm on rear with rear on ground to get the back two joints adjusted right.. It's a pain to try to adjust it in the air
-Go ahead and get new brake lines.. The factory ones will have to take a beating to install because they are conformed to the shape of the 10 bolt. Work the brake lines on the rear with the rear off the car.. much easier than having everything already on the car trying to work it.

Yep, one on the bottom of the passenger side too. I'll have to get some pictures of it in the car when I go to do my clutch swap.

haha. I meant to say
"whats the extra tube for"
But I see it now for the watts link end. Why have the PHR end then?

I asked the same thing. Eric said it's a standard bracket that gets used be it Watt's or PH set up. Keeps parts simple during build, and allows to throw a pan hard in there if for some reason something happens with the Watt's Link

Thats is almost identical to what I have. I was able to get the Yukon 3.89's though. I also have a little noise on the decel but not bad. Its getting better the more miles I put on it. I think im about 250 miles so far.

Got about 400 on her now. I had originally ordered the Yukon 3.89s, but they ran out right before mine got put together.... Ah well.

Hear a bit of whine on decel, and a bit of whine on accel at higher speeds. Such is life heh.
