Well first off u might have had a lil better luck in the trans section. But to my knowledge u don't have to mod anything. When I switched I went to a body mnt tq arm, so I cld be wrong but to my knowledge it shld work. Long tail shaft, diff flywheel, everything else shld work. Oh lokar dipstick

Hmmm I thought a M6 crossmember worked with some shims but not a 60e crossmember???

That's when doing a th400 or 80e swap.

A stock th350 tranny mount is roughly 2" forward of the stock 4L60e.

I took a stock 60e crossmember, notched the front, an welded in a piece of 1"x2" 1/8" wall box tube, cut the part the extends out of the crossmember on about a 30* angle so it would be easier to tighten the nut up.

Simple, effective, and cost me $0 and about 2 hours of work.

Here's my crude, but effective (read: CHEAP) th350 conversion crossmember for my car:

I decided to use a standard 9" tailshaft th350, modify my stock crossmember for the tranny mount to work, and since I've got a UMI adj. Tunnel mount torque arm, I didn't need to use the factory tail housing for the torque arm to mount to. I just re routed the speed sensor wires to the ABS sensor in my 3 channel rearend. Adjusted the pulse per revolution, or pulse per mile (can't remember which it was) and changed the gear to 1:1.
Just to clean things up a bit, I made a billet aluminum plug with an o ring for the original gear driven speedometer drive in the th350.

The Lincoln sp100-T I was using was on the border line of being too small for this job. .023" hard wire is good for sheet metal, and thats about it IMO. Penetration was good enough for what I needed here, I'd liked to have had a welder that had the ass to burn in a little deeper with attest .035" wire.

Hope this helps someone out. If you're running a tunnel mount t/a, and can have your computer tuned readily, I'd do this and save $180 on the tailshaft conversion kit.
