Default Sqeeky shocks HELP!

My front shocks sqeek like there is no tomorrow, but only when its very hot outside...can i spray some WD-40 just unitl i can afford to get some good shocks?

you sure its your shocks and not balljoints or bushings?

ya im sure its the shocks, it only sqeeks wen i go over speed bumps or something like that

Do you have poly bushings on your front swaybar?

just say it was my shocks, can i or cant i put WB-40 on in the mean time till i get new ones?

Petroleum products typically are not nice to most kinds of rubber, but try it if you want. It probably won't work. Grease your swaybar bushings instead.

i have never heard of a squeaky shock either........to many bushings to blame that on

ok so if it is my bushings how much does that usually cost to replace?

If it's the swaybars, rear control arms, or panhard bar, take them off/out and grease them and the bolts if applicable. If it's the front control arm bushings, they will need to be replaced most likely. My bet is swaybar bushings.

I dont recommend that you put WD-40 on them. I used to have the same problem until i changed the shocks, so you're gonna have to deal with the noise.
