Approx. how much money does it cost to do this conversion. I already have the motor, but thats it. Its going in a '00 Trans Am.

You can easily get away with not having to buy an aftermarket K member. If you go the motor/mid plate route. That should save you some money, but your labor will be involved. I think it will just be simpler to buy an aftermarket trans cross member depending on your trans choice.

I'm in the same situation you are right now with having a 427 superstock engine, powerglide, converter etc... I just need to find a 93-2002 firebird for cheap that is clean.

I will personally remove the factory LS1 K member and send it off to MPR to have it modified for a large aftermarket oil pan. I will also use the LS1's motor mounts existing holes for my engine limiters that will be mounted to the blocks mounting pads.

I have a BBC motor plate made specifically for 4th gen fbody installs if anyone is interested. it's from Burkhart. I also have a mid plate.

I have a third gen but. I used factory motor mounts for the SBC. And only needed an oil pan to clear the kmember. For me it was practically a bolt in lol.
