I realize have to run link bar lifters although think could modify the stock ls2 trays to work but that seems mickey mouse so guess going to link bar and order some today.
Should I just get the morel or lunati ones ,is that what you guys are running with these 6 bolt head ERL setups?
also anyone have rought idea on pushrod length realize lots of variables. These lifters are stock height? But also think they have very low preloads like .030 or .050 type of thing compared to stock .08 ?So would that mean much shorter pushrods? I have pushrod checker just wondering a bit .My heads are not cut ,my cam is ls9 but my block is superdeck from ls3 core.

Since no one else is coming.... We ran the lunati tie bar lifters and had great results, zero issues. I have heard plenty of good things from the plenty of people about the morels. Can't go wrong with either one.
You better measure yourself for pushrods. Small variances in tip height and the motor will changes these numbers. What "Works" might not give your combination the correct sweep on the tip of the valve.
Dumb question, why didn't ERL recommend a lifter?

I didn't ask ERL guess they figured would run link bar. I got some lunati 72437 think they are and they are made by morel. I am not going to rev my 427 up to the moon likely set redline at 6500rpm ,7000 absolute max and that would only be once or twice at track if need more mph for 1/4 mile run.
Also I think you could maybe tweak the ls2 lifter trays to work on the 6 bolt ERL but didnt want to bother tweaking.

There is really no downside to a tie bar lifter. Its not a big deal.
