Default Getting an 01 10 bolt to fit on a 97 Z28

My friend picked up a 10 bolt with 3.42s in it to put in his 97 Z the other day, he went to install it today and said the sensors seem to be different, and that his rear rotors don't seem to want to fit.

Anyone able to fill me in on what exactly would need to be done? Now he's trying to just trade it for a 93-97 10 bolt, or sell it outright to go buy one, but I want to see if maybe we can get this to work.

the rears from 93-97 or lt1 rears have differnt size breaks from the 98-02.(the 93-97 are smaller than the ls1's from what iv been told) since hes trying to use one from a 01 he'll have to use everything from the 01 rear.... im not sure about the sensor tho.... is it the abs or what?

Ok, the exact problem was that his car came with a 4 channel, and the one he bought is a 3 channel.

I checked around right now, and it looks like we can just throw in his rear axles from his old rearend to take care of the brake/rotor issue, and just add the sensor from his old 4 channel to this new 3 channel and we should be good to go.

I just want to make sure, can someone correct me if I'm wrong on that?

Oh, and does anyone happen to have a write out for how to go about doing the conversion? Just something to help out. Only thing I've found at the moment was a 4 channel to 3 channel conversion thread.

Speaking in general, he did not do his home work. Once the braking system is swapped over, at worst he would have no ABS. If he really wants it he would need to have the exciter rings installed on the axles and once everything is matched back up. Should work with out issue.

My issue was with a Moser 12 bolt. Went from a 3 Channel LT1 car to a 4 Channel LS1 car. I had to send the axels out to Moser and have them machined and fitted with the exciter ring and since everything else was there it was easy as I installed the backing plated and had the bearings pressed on. Installed and done with.

With the 10 bolt I have never dealt with a 4 channel LT1 brake set up so I am not sure if the sensors are on the end of the axles.

Thanks, sounds like he should be fine if we just swap the required parts over from his old 4 channel.
