Has anyone tried to swap 4th gen brakes to install 15" rims on the rear? I also had a thougt I am going to try! The stock 17" GTO wheels are the same offset and bolt pattern... since aftermarket 17s are fitting over brembos, there is a chance they may fit!

Not a chance of them fitting. Most 17s hit the control arms. 16s hit them significantly (ie: plasma cutter + welder necessary.) 15s would be impossible without a completely different rear suspension or a ridiculous spacer.

Take a quick gander in here for an idea. Shows what I had to do to get my 17" wheels to work (spohn bullshit notwithstanding, but you can see the clearance dilemma), and what another member did with his. Similar issues. No way you'd fit a wheel 2" smaller. No way in hell.

Cutting and welding is no problem, So if I take some off the control arm and box it back up... it could work ( the 17" )?

Yeah you could fit a 17 or even a 16, but a 15 would be impossible without a new shape lower arm and a custom way to mount the shock.

Cool, hopfully I can get my hands on a GTO wheel soon and start messing with it.
