Default Ticking

it's never consistent.
you can't really hear it with the hood open. (can hear it really well from the sides/bottom)
RPMs/oil pressure sags a bit when it happens.
happens frequently.
from what i can tell it does increase a bit with RPM thought it ceases to cause problems when i start moving.

anyone have any idea what i need to replace/fix/adjust?
any help is appreciated

oh, and it's NOT throwing any codes as of yet. this has been going on for a good while now.

not at all. if i had to guess, i'd say it gets worse.

something with the plugs/packs/wires?

i had an O2 sensor wire fry on the header once before and is did something similar when it would short but, i didnt see any signs of that happening again.

EDIT: if possible, i'll get a video of it tomorrow, assuming i can pick up the sound. you can hear/feel it throughout the vehicle. if you're standing behind the car listening to the exhaust, it almost sounds like it misses a cylinder in the rotation.

Sounds kind of like ignition wires arcing. I'm not saying that's what it is, just that's what it sounds like.

yes, my pipes do rattle but that's definitely not where the sound comes from (despite being able to hear that as well in the video)

if it is the wires, what needs to be done? replace/reseat? how can i tell if a wire has gone bad? none look burned.

jeez, i hope it isn't that!

i don't suppose there's a way to tell for certain without tearing off the tranny?

any way to check on the wires?

you can pull the inspection plate off and try to peek through there.
