JC Whitney Rotors: Long Term Test Results
I became so frustrated with the stock rotors on my 99 SS that I bought a pair of front rotors from Whitney at $62ea + shipping. They're cross drilled and slotted and were made in Canada.
I now have just over 30,000 miles on them. While not perfect--a little warpage occurs after repeated hard braking but after the rotors cool the vibration is gone--they have proven just fine during day-to-day normal driving including stop and go traffic.
By this time the original rotors were absolute trash.
My only real complaint is a cosmetic one---the rotors have a light rust coating in the center area that is unsightly. When I exchange the snows this spring I'll paint the area to see if it lasts.

Try VHT caliper paint on the centers of your rotors, for the price black BBQ grill paint holds up well also.
