Unhappy Suspended plates beause of emission prolems, help!

I keep getting a code back for my secondary air injection system(air pump) which was taken out when i put headers and ory on. i thought havig 02 simulators tells the computer that the air pump doesnt need to come on? but im getting a tune as soon as possible and i know they can tune some codes out. also if i leave the code for the air pump there after a few days ill have 2 more codes for both front 02 sensors.

plus i passed emssions in the fall of last year and they told me i wouldnt have to come back for two years, then i got a paper a couple weeks ago saying i had to go through by June 10th. WTF.

AIR pump is supposed to help light off those O2 sensors.
You can kill the AIR codes and get the readiness to set
eventually. May as well kill the heater, insufficient switching
codes as well since these almost always bug with long
tubes.

Why anybody lives in a Smog **** state is beyond me.

It's not OBDII scan, but the visual and rollers that scare me.

Secondary O2s don't tell the air to come on or not; you need to have the AIR system programmed out of the ECU. I'd suggest having the 2ndary O2s programmed out as well instead of running simulators, but that's my personal view; I don't like the simulators, but they work.

Also, if you're front ones are throwing codes then you need to replace them or find out why, those shouldn't be throwing codes, and your PCM needs those to keep the engine running properly.

MR Wesst,
I passed with a basic tune from Frost. With AIR, EGR, Rear O2s Tuned out. From what I'm reading you just need a Tune. My Car has been Tested in Kenosha,Wi and once in Racine,Wi. After you pass I would HIGHLY recommended "updating" your cars registration, when you go to the DMV to fill out the paper work, there is a spot on the paper work it asked if differnt from address what town and county is the keep in. You DONT need an address! Now what this will do for you is you wont have to have your Car tested ever 2 years since only the South East county's in Wis have physically testing of some kind. See link below for info on which ones test.
