96 to 01 v6 engine change over???

96 to 01 v6 engine change over??? Just as it says, Im trying to help out someone else with a 96 v6 camaro with a blown engine. I have found a 01 v6 camaro wrecked that has a good engine. Will they simply change out or is there more involved like changing the intake manifold, oil pans, sensors, ect??? Thanks.
