Default Harris Interface, is the harness interchangeable? ?

If you buy a harris interface with a 5 pin harness for a truck can the harness be swapped to a 3 pin harness for an fbody?

I already tried. I called them dozens of times last week on different days and called once every hour on Thursday (you are reading this right, once every hour), they never picked up. I left a message and my number, they never called back. I sent an email, I still haven't received a response. I created a thread on their technical forum just like this one, not a single post.

Frankly I'm disgusted by the lack of support, how far I've had to go for such a simple question and how I still have nothing to show for it. I'm a returning customer and I've bought hundreds of dollars worth of parts from them in the past. If this is how previous customers are treated then I can't imagine how new customers must be treated. But enough with flaming tech support and please forgive my rant, I don't want this thread going off track.

Does anyone have any technical input?

I had the same exact problem, I made a thread on the HSW site as well and ended up getting an email from customer support and ordered a 3 pin harness. I will see if I can find the email address for you.

So the 5 pin harness can't work on the 3 pin maf? What did their tech tell you?

I heard from another member here there was an adapter available to run the 5 pin harness on a 3 pin maf. I'm trying to find out if this works.

Ok, so Harris finally got back to me. They said that every interface module is the same, the only thing that is different is the harness. So if you already have an interface and would like to install it in a different model vehicle all you need to do is change the harness.

The fbody harness costs $60. I'm don't know what the cost of a harness is for other vehicles sorry, so please don't ask me. The Harris part number for the ls1 fbody harness is: HSW-ELTR-INFCE-3W. I don't have part numbers for other vehicles sorry, so please don't ask me.

The strange thing about this is that harnesses are not actually listed on their site. If you were to put that part number into the search engine on the harris website nothing would come up. To order one you need to contact them via email, tell them what you want and leave your name and address and they will send you a paypal invoice.

I hope this comes to help somebody.
