Default Do I need a tune after LT install?

Hey guys! I'm going to be installing my Jet Hot LTs and catted Y Pipe next week. Will I need tuning or will I be alright running on the stock tune? I am going to be putting in a cam in a few years, but that is a pretty long time. Should I just get a tune? Or will my car be alright with the stock tune for now? Will it hurt my car in any way without a tune? Thanks a lot!

It will probably run rich w/o a tune. If your not planning on doing cam/heads for awhile, then I say go for it.

I ran a LS6 cam and LT's for a year on the stock tune with no issues. Granted you will not get the full potential but you will not hurt anything but performance. You should be alright.

Thanks guys! I realize the performance will not be all there, but I just don't want to damage my headers or engine/exhaust. Hugcam I live in Oakville. Are you apart of FAST? Anyways, thanks guys, I am putting a cam in in a few years, so I guess it will be alright till then right? Thanks!

Hey thats cool Hugcam. Anyways if your interested in FAST, its a St. Louis F Body group. They meet up every month for a get together to check out each others cars, take pics, eat, and have a good time. If you want a link to it, let me know and i'll pm you the info.
