not a chance. it will fail the visual. IIRC cats have to be factory (no high flow) and I think they need to be in factory location. I think the location thing is a federal law too. but I could be wrong about that.

I know you wont pass an honest inspection in CA with longtubes

LTs are not legal anywhere. Its a Federal law. Cats cannot be moved from their original location. LTs move them.

That sucks ! I'm glad I'm not in CA. I've had my SLP LT's and catz on my car since 2002 and never had a problem getting inspected. But I do live in VA.

I'm sure there are some "car guy " shops around there that don't care about the location of your cats ,as long as have them on your car , they will pass it.....I hope .

As said, stock location. Aftermarket cats are legal with over 70,000 miles, but have to be 50 state legal. Almost all of them are 49 state. That said, if you can get them to forget the visual (tweaker smog shop + tip), then longtubes and 49 state legal cats will pass the siffer IF you have a good tune.

With a stock cam and a tune it should pass the sniffer easy.
With a small cam ( < -4*overlap) and a good tune you should pass also.

I'm about 140 miles south east of you, you should have no problem finding a good tuner a lot closer.

Small cam.... I'd call it a medium sized cam, 227/231 111lsa w/7* overlap.

I just put it in a couple of months ago, and yeah it'll pass if I really want it to!

FYI, this is strictly for offroad use.
