Default headers installed, hit a bump, service stability system

Anyone have any ideas what I can look for loose in this thing?

I had this issue. It turned out to be the alternator wire had melted to the header and was arching upon contact. It started out with service stability system and service airbag when I'd do a hard downshift or hit a bump and led (months later) to the car loosing power when I would make a hard turn or go WOT in low gears.

I should be more specific I guess. I randomly get "traction engaged" sometimes, also.

I skimmed the headers over and cannot find any wires melting to them.

I think my steering shaft is touching the headers sometimes. Its missing some paint.

What brand and size are the headers?

Radeon, did you knock a dent in the side of the headers? If you bought either of the 1-7/8" headers (OBX or Kooks), you'll need to add a little dent.

I did it with careful measurement and a couple of sharp hits with a hammer. Laid a couple of towels on top to avoid scratching/chipping the finish.

Also, the pair of purple harnesses right between the drivers side strut tower, and the block, what are those?

Best of luck. Those electrical gremlins are a pain. Unfortunately for me, both times they were due to the headers melting wires. Please note that once my headers are now wrapped with DEI titanium LR wrap.

Could it be that the steering shaft is rubbing enough to send vibrations to the steering sensor, causing a trip in the system?

also wouldn't the random traction engaged lights rule out the steering wheel sensor?

So do u think that kooks 1 3/8 headers need to be banged out to clear the steering shaft?

I had something like this happen on my car but it was a speed sensor. When I would hit a bump it would throw on traction control or stability control. It almost went real bad on the highway doing 80 when i hit a dip and it almost yanked the wheel outta my hand.
