Default Need to quiet down exhaust

I autocross my Camaro and am having trouble meeting the noise regulations. The car has longtubes, a catted Y and a GMMG catback. The main problem is that I want to continue to run this setup on the street and quickly swap something in for the track. The last time I ran it was 92.7dB at 75 feet and it needs to be under 90, so a bullet probably won't get it there. Ideas?

Pick up a used magnaflow. That will defiantly meet your noise requirements and its pretty free flowing.

If he likes to have any noise the magnaflow is not the way to go unless he puts a cutout in as well. My magnaflow and catted y sound stockish even with my LT's, but that's how I wanted it.

A bullet muffler in the I-pipe would probably be enough to take 3 db's out. I'm not sure if the car would still make the sound you want anymore if you do this though. Unfortunately the GMMG exhaust is pretty loud so if you want to keep it there isn't much else you can do.

I don't mind pulling the GMMG off for the track and putting it back on afterwards but it's all welded so that may be a pain. Is there any way to fit a full size muffler in the I pipe? Clearance with the ground is a complete non-issue but I don't know if it will fit around the body.

You can fit a 5" diameter muffler in the I-pipe and maintain stock like clearance with some mild messaging of the metal on the passenger side of the I-pipe.
A Magnaflow #12867 w/14" case L.(about $93) , or a Borla XR-1 #40085 w/15" case L.(about $116) will fit just fine!

Magnaflow #12867 in I-pipe.
