They do have some better parts in them. This includes 5 pinion planets, better hardened input/output shafts and a hardened stator tube. I have seen some late units with a different ring gear in them and also sun gears. HTH Vince

It should hold it for a while. All stock 4L60/65e transmissions will fail eventually under that power level tho.

Definately! Check out our customer section on our website. We have literally thousands of high performance 4L60/65/70e transmissions around the world with tons of horsepower in front of them. Our shop 07 Z06 makes 689rwhp with a D1SC procharged LS7 with a 4L65e behind it. Its been running 9.40s-9.60s@145mph for the last 3 years. Our shop managers 05 C6 twin turbo LS7 car has 880rwhp and has been running 9.50s@150mph his 60ft is a little weaker than the 07 Z06. Our auto trans builder has an AWD 04 Silverado SS with a cammed and nitrous LS3 in it. It has ran 11.7s@120mph with a 1.6 60ft. and weighs in at 5700lbs!! Its been together for over 2 years without any issues. Those are just our shop R&D vehicles. We have many other customers with far more impressive cars and applications. Let me know if you have any questions.
