Default Removed brake booster now pedal is hard?

I had to removed my brake booster so I could change my clutch master. I put everything back together but now brake pedal is hard and the car takes real effort to slow down. How can I fix this and how did it happen?

Check the vacuum line is not pinched/split or may have come off entirely. Without the vac assist the pedal will be very hard and the car will be difficult to stop.
