Default Crank Threads

Long Story Short i was a Dumbass and F'ed up the first few threads in my crank. Not sure if they are damaged or just has the threads from a bolt stuck in them. Already ordered the correct tool to install my Pulley but i need a tap to clean/Fix the Cranks threads.

I know its M16x2.00 Question is will this style Tap Work?

If it will i figured it would be perfect because of its length.

You can use a shorter (and cheaper) tap.
