I was coming home from work and after taking a turn and accelerating a bit i slowed down to take another turn and when i tried to match rev to get into a lower gear it sounded like my power steering starting to whine! So i stopped, put it in neutral and rev'd and it when the RPM's jumped the whine got louder. i pulled over and popped the hood and rev'd again and it sounded fine, but when i got in the car and did the same it continued with the power steering whine. when i turn the wheel tho, there has always been a slight whine and nothing was changed, but when i rev past 2k thats when it starts. any idea as to what this could be?

sounds like the pump. maybe a dumb question but, did you check the fluid in it? lol

i'll check it when i leave for work. its not dumb, i couldnt check it last night since it was dark, which is why i posted lol but i did read about it, thats the first thing im going to do before i leave.

ok so the power steering fluid was low, SO...in conclusion....im an idiot. but if it starts again, i'll get it looked at.
