Nice pics, but they are mis-leading. My 94 Z28 with me in it weighed 3600 lbs. Full weight. On the same scale with the back seats out my 99 Z28 with me in it weighed 3700 lbs. My 94 Z28 was an A4, and the 99 is a M6 with a Moser 12 bolt. The scale is certified and all..

The back seats weigh next to nothing, especially the lower part. 10 pounds all together, at the most.

Actually with the seat belt assembly 32 ibs.. I got on the scale at 220 lbs, then stacked everything up, lifted it & got back on the digital scale from my house to weigh 252 lbs.

No lt1 that came in a camaro or firebird had iron heads btw. The weight of the lt1 head is probably a little less than that of an LS1 head.

The intake on an LT1 probably weighs more than the one on an ls1 by a few pounds too.

I agree with you but how is a head off a LT1 lighter than a head off a LS1? I'd bet a soda your wrong on that theory, lol Fred

Just basing my guess on how heavy the ls1 heads were when I helped install some ls1 heads on a car vs. all the lt1 aluminum heads I have picked up. LS1 heads seem to be taller due to the angle and height of the intake ports and also might be a little wider. Less material = lighter It's probably only a few pounds and in the big picture doesn't mean much.

Most LS1 cars come with a plastic gas tank too which weighs less than a lt1 gas tank.

That's why I said "most" in my original post.
