So I just landed a co-op in california, ( i go to school in boston) and I'm looking to driver out there when the time comes this august. I plan on doing full fluid flushing, bleeding the brakes, getting a tune, new plugs and wires anyway also. So i'd like to know what else I should do to the car, and what i should absolutely bring.
Also! anybody have any good routes or spots to check out on the way? Definitely wanna hit some of ol '66 and i'll have about a week to do this im assuming.

Vehasssssssssss... Las Vegas, Utah National forests are nice to see (Zion Park and Arches)...
Depends which route you take? Road trips are fun, but can get expensive with hotels, gas and food along the way..
Good luck and may the roads and car treat you well!!!

make sure your tires are good and your AC works.

hope your car isn't too loud and doesn't drone much, if it does its gonna get old quick on such a long trip.
I'd also double check your spare tire and jack; make sure they work and the tire is inflated to its proper pressure

I recently had a front end alignment, MY AC is out right now.. should probably throw that back in heh.. and How do you even get a spare for 17's cause i certainly don't have one as far as the loudness it does have headers but my music usually works well at getting rid of that drone
anybody for some input on some roads to hit on the way??

Make sure your wheels are balanced! I made a 700 mile trip from Orange County, CA to Yosemite National Park, and having my wheels unbalanced was extremely annoying!
Other than that and the othe above suggestions, have fun and take lots of pics! :judge:

I drove FL to CA and then a few years later CA to PA. Texas had the closest thing to a home cooked meal and Colorado had the most spectacular views, Arizona at sunset coming in at a close second.

socal or norcal? That will make a huge difference in what path you take, our state is pretty tall as you know.

I believe its going to be so cal.
this just cam einto my head.. i have some pretty beefy aftermarket tires.. fix a flat will work great for a nail but say i shred a tire.. should i bring a front spare and a rear spare? they are 17's all around, 275 up front 315 in the back, will it matter if i have a spare rim thats only a 245 running next to a 315?
so im asking what should I do for spares? im at a loss

Well considering the vast majority of spare tires are TINY in comparison to the regular wheels/tires that come on a car, I would go out on a limb and say it doesn't matter if it's for a short distance. Hence why I asked you if you'd ever seen a spare tire before.
