Default Set Engine in today 68 Chevelle

Finally got my engine in place today its the second item I've bolted on to my Frame-off resto-mod. The first item was the steering gear and yep you guessed it, I had to take it off the PS pulley would'nt clear...go figure.

Anyway I like where its placed, down low and foward. I don't like where the Alt. is placed so I think I'll move it to the pass. side and move the PS pump up some.

Here are some pictures, take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks , Tony

What oil pan are you using ??
What engine mounts are you using ??

I'm dropping a 6.0L LY6 into my 1970 442 right now. I've been told that in order to use the SBC Chevelle frame mounts
and clear the tie rods you have to use 1/4" to 1/2" spacers. One person who did this swap in another Olds told me that was his solution.

I have an F-body pan on mine, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go with a CTS-V pan or not.
Going to do a test fit tomorrow with the pan. I also have the Energy 3.1117R engine mounts with these plates.

BRP setup is just way too damn much $$$ for what you get.

Ace I'm using the F body pan. I made my own adapter plates in 1/4" w/ Energy Suspension SBC stands & mounts'

I don't have my steering hard parts yet and I know I'll have issues with the Tie rods so I'm leaning towards moding my center link to solve the problem.

Let me know how you make out with your Install.

A few changes on my Motor Mount plates & front accessory brackets.

Remeber this is what I did to my X-Member to allow more forward space.
