ok so if i was putting an ls2 into my f body, i can just take my crank out of my ls1 and put it right into the ls2 block because i need the 24 teeth reluctor. isthat statement correct?

Default ls2 crank in a 6.2

i got a 6.2 from a dealer out a 2010 escalade that the lifters blead the oil pressure off and started to scar crank. i got a good ls2 crank that i can use in it and it has same casting numbers but the ls2 crank is cross drilled all the way thru the main webbing and the 6.2 crank isnt. i know everything else is the same but im wondering if i need to rebalance the motor or not? i know they say that the old school 305 n 350 cranks wont interchange without rebalancing but in stock motors we have rebuilt 100s and never had a problem. anybody done this?

The truck cranks have solid journals and are heavier, as are the rods heavier. You'll need a rebalance.

what about an 05 ssr. I bought a ls2 longblock last week and was told it was a 06 vette motor. Come to find out it is out of a 05 ssr. anyone know of the top of the head which reluctor is used. I bought the Lengenfilter box but I think
Im not going to need it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
