ok so im not finding the time to swap my trans and rearend and need it done. i called a couple places and got a quote for $400, to swap my stock rear for a s60 rear. also $450 to swap in my 4l80e swap. i have everything for the swaps,
one thing bothered me is he said my stock shifter wouldn't work with the trans swap but i see alot still use it... what do you guys think or do you know of anyone who can help me out thanks...

Your shifter will work with the 4l80e.. the shop will notch the linkage slightly where it bolts to the pan. If they try to sell you a shifter, they're doing just that. You'll need a custom dipstick, though.

That seems cheap on the tranny swap. Do you have a new pcm with the 4L80 calibration in it?

no its a fmvb, im gunna do a switch for lock up and t-brake. ill shift it for now til i have my hptuners swapped for the 4l80e.

i talked with the guy and hes going to do the trans,rear,fuel pump and hotwire set up with trap door mod,trq arm,lca's for about 850-1k. i think that's fair for all the work hes doing. seemed like a good guy, we also talked about doing a cage and some other stuff too. im going to drop it off this friday depending on if i get my new trans dipstick in time from madman.
